Learning and Growing Together

2020-2021

Daily Routines

Children will enter KS2 door at 8:55am. At the end of the day, children will be released at 3.10. If you wish for your child to walk home or to a given location please send a written or verbal permission to myself. If you have to make alternative arrangements please contact the office with these before the end of the day.

Children are expected to bring a ready filled water bottle and their reading book and journal to school EVERY DAY.  They may also bring a piece of fruit or healthy snack to enjoy during our daily snack time.

Expectations:

We encourage the children to give their best effort at all times and for them to be prepared to give it a go, no matter what the challenge is!

Reading 10-15 minutes reading at home, reading journal to be signed a minimum of 3x per week. This will be checked on a Monday, Wednesday and a Friday.

Homework - This will be given out on a Monday and it is due in by Friday. This will be a piece of English or Mathematics. It will be consolidation work from the classroom.

PE

During the Autumn Term PE will take place on Tuesday and Thursday each week.  To avoid close contact of children while getting changed for PE, we are asking that children come to school wearing their PE kit on the days that they have PE lessons.  Their PE kit should include: a t-shirt, shorts (or joggers in the winter) and trainers. I'm sure you can appreciate that sometimes we have to be flexible with our timetables and PE days may change, we will endeavour to inform you of changes as soon as we are able.

Visits & Visitors

Due to current restrictions it will not be possible to arrange visits or visitors into Class 4 this term.  We will instead look at creative ways of enriching the learning of our children and may reach out to the wider community to help us with this.

Drinks & Snacks

Children must bring a filled water bottle as water coolers will not be in use in school.  Some children may require two water bottles to ensure they have fresh water throughout the day. If your child would like a healthy snack to consume during our 5 minute ‘snack time’ please send something small.
